Due to popular demand from customers in the cafe I have finally got round to publishing my sausage roll recipe
Introduction
Here at Good Taste we started making our own sausage rolls after nipping out to a well know high street bakers for a snack, we were so dissapointed we thought someone should re introduce a real sausage roll to the high street. We make our sausage rolls every day using great quality cumberland sausage meat, puff pastry and a great home made fennel and apple chutney.
Ingredients
fennel
apple
onion
salt
sugar
white wine vinegar
fennel seeds
egg yolks to brush on the sausage rolls
Method
first thing to do is to make the fennel and apple marmalade, chop the fennel and onion as finely as possible
place them into a large sauce pan on a medium heat
peel and dice the apple, add that to the pan as well as the vinegar, sugar and fennel seeds
cook the marmalade until the liquid has reduced and become jam like and sticky
when the marmalade has cooled a little taste it and see if it tastes good it want to be sweet but not to sweet, just add a little more vinegar if you need to do

I have been to your shop on many occations. I call in when i am in the lakes walking. The sausage rolls really are great i will definatley try the receipe hurry up and put the next set of instruction online.
