Our cookery school is located right on the edge of Keswick, the beautiful North Western Lake District. The school has both indoor and outdoor kitchens with herb garden, pizza ovens and BBQ’s.Keswick cookery school is a fun, relaxed and informative school with a focus on sharing our passion and knowledge for food.
We have a team of chefs, foodies and cooks who are headed up by TV chef Peter Sidwell. The team are commited to hosting cookery days that are packed full of tips, techniques and recipes that you will want to take home and replicate.
The school has its own coffee bar and dinning room where you can enjoy the fruits of your days labour over lunch or dinner.

Terms and conditions of booking and attending
Booking through the website provides secure payment using Paypal. Customer contact details are retained for Keswick Cookery School use only. No credit or debit card details are passed on to Keswick Cookery School.
Your booking will be confirmed by Keswick Cookery School within 5 working days. A receipt email will be issued by Paypal once payment has been made.
Please inform us if you have special dietary requirements before the course date. If you have any special dietary requirements which were not made known at the time of booking we may not be able to cater for your needs on the day. Tutors will do their best to accommodate your requirements.

Attendees under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event that the Keswick Cookery School can’t deliver a course you will be transferred to a different course of your choice subject to availability or you can request a refund.
Refunds will only be authorised at our discretion.
If you fail to attend a course the fee will not be refunded. If you are ill with sickness and diarrhoea in the days leading up to the course as long as you give us 48hrs notice before the course date we can transfer your booking for you. You MUST NOT attend your course with symptoms of sickness or diarrhoea.
Our courses are a blend of practical hands on, and demonstration with tasting. There will be opportunity to take regular breaks and have refreshments. There will be a lunch break during the day unless otherwise specified by the course description. If you have any concerns about the skills required or experience needed to complete the course please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss this.
We have aprons for you to use.
The courses have been designed for both the beginner and experienced cook and help will be gladly given if you feel you are struggling to keep up.
On the food safety side, please listen to advice given by your tutors – they have your best interests at heart! The food which you prepare and take away from the school at the end of the day is your responsibility. Plastic gloves are available if you wish to use them. Please wash your hands regularly throughout the day, especially if you have taken a toilet break.
You will be informed if there is a need to evacuate the building.
A first aid kit is available to treat minor injuries.
My tutors and I have worked hard to put together a course that you will enjoy and learn from. We hope that you have a great day and go home able to recreate the recipes we will cover over the course, feel confident to experiment new things and put your own twist on recipes in your own kitchen.
