Our themed cookery events are full day, practical courses where you can really get to grips with the tricks of the trade, allowing your home cooking to become more enjoyable, and successful!
We also catering for small parties, where we can create a bespoke cookery day for any event be it birthdays, special occasions or corporate days, just send us an email enquiry.

This course will demonstrate just how easy it is to make a few simply recipes to help you make quick, tasty and fresh mid week suppers, so through away your takeaway menus and bin your microwave meals.

This course is designed to help your understanding of fish and how best to buy, prepare and cook fish. We will also show you when to buy and where to buy it from. The day is full of great tips and hints from the pro’s

27th January 2010-Italian Cookery
Peter has been on many trips to Italy, researching and eating his way around Italy, so he will be demonstrating all that he has found in the region of Tuscany in preparation for a new book that will be out next year. You dont want to miss out on this one as there is limited space.

10th February 2010-Local Produce
This course is sure to be an eye opener, We have found some surprising little gems on our way. We will be showing you how to make the most of your local area and how to cook and create fantastic dishes. Our principles on local, seasonal produce are easily transferable to your own local area.

24th February 2010-Butchery course
This course will demonstrate just how easy it is to buy a whole animal straight from the farmer and learn how to make the most of every cut.
You will be presented with half a local lamb and shown how to butcher your way around the animal. All the work that you create will be prepared for you to take home and freeze and then cook.
Start 10am meeting at the cafe until 4pm. £125 per person including drinks and lunch.
10th March 2010- Making your own Salami, Chorizo & Rillet
This course has been introduced as Peter has started making his own salami, chorizo and rillets, its a great way to preserve meats. Peter has learnt how to prepare these recipes from his travels in Europe and has applied it to the fantastic selection of local meats and herbs in Cumbria.
All produce made on the day will be to take home and home cure by yourself with full instructions.
